Jim Kemp was introduced to the retriever world in 1965 by Wilber Goode, owner of F.T.C AFTC Paha Sapa Chief II, sire of Super Chief.  Since then Jim has continued to raise and train retrievers for hunting waterfowl and upland game birds.

Jim has a ranch on the Missouri River Breaks, which is located in Central Montana. The terrain consists of draws with plum thickets and extremely heavy cover. In November and December the windy, cold, and icy weather conditions are severe. Dogs need to be tough, strong, and have lots of stamina and drive to hunt under these very brutal conditions.
